Leuphana University Lüneburg
Grassworks is a research project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research focussing on the conservation and restoration of species-rich grassland in Germany. The Leuphana University Lüneburg, the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, the Thünen Institute, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Greifswald and the German Association for Landscape Conservation (Deutscher Verband für Landschaftspflege) are involved.
In collaboration with researchers from Grassworks at Leuphana, the basic objectives and ideas of the project were first identified and analysed. Based on this framework, a corporate design was developed. The focus was on clarity and professionalism, while at the same time emphasising intuitive usability and accessibility. The resulting design guidelines formed the basis for the development of a representative logo, a website to communicate the project and its results as well as other visual elements. During the design process, particular attention was paid to aesthetically appealing design and at the same time scientifically accurate presentation.
